$700 Full Workshop; $400 Weekdays Only; $200 Weekend Only. Quilters of all skill levels are welcome to a week of fabric fun. This year’s activities include:Refining machine quilting skills using the book “WALK” as a text, Reimagining Vintage Textiles,and Faced Machine Applique.Some of the small projects are making a portable ironing tray,placemats, and zipper pouches. Some will be 2 day sessions while others 1 day only so that participants may choose which days they plan to attend.

Heather will share tips for positive identification, methods for sustainable harvest, and practical ways to work with these plants for food and medicine. You're sure to meet these plants again in your own backyard or along other favorite walking paths. Our walk will be easy to moderate in nature with many stops along the way and appropriate for all ages. Feel free to bring a notepad or use your phone to jot down notes! No collecting will be done in the Park.

CBLP Level 1 is a comprehensive training for professionals who design, install, and maintain sustainable landscapes in the Bay watershed. The course emphasizes stormwater BMPs, native plants, soils, and sustainable practices, and includes hands-on learning and networking opportunities.

Join the Botanical Hiker, Heather Houskeeper, for an introduction in beginning a botanical journal. This program will focus on several plants, learning/documenting their identifying features,recording in what environment they grow (landscape/symbionts/plant allies), and learning about their edible/medicinal uses. Nature journals, pencils and colored pencils are provided. Participants bring home their own nature journal to continue their observations. Please Call to register. $20/person

Dr. Anja Brandon, Plastics Policy Director at Ocean Conservancy and Nicole Portley, Materials Management PRO Program Plan Lead, Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, will tell us about state policies that address plastic pollution and aquatic litter through Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) initiatives in California and Oregon – including the nuts-and-bolts of the policy and what drove action by decision makers.

Join Delaware Highlands Conservancy as we take an in-depth look into life in a pond! During our pond investigation, you will be getting your hands dirty looking for insects known as macroinvertebrates. We will use our findings to determine the quality of our pond!

Join us for a relaxed hike at the Van Scott Nature Reserve with Trevor Tochydlowski, Forest Specialist from the Wayne County Conservation District. This is a unique opportunity to walk the trails and engage in casual, informative conversation with a local forestry expert. Whether you’re curious about tree identification, forest management, invasive species, wildlife habitats, or simply have questions about what you’re seeing in the woods, Trevor will be on hand to share his knowledge and answer your questions.
