Communications
The goal of the Communications Workgroup is to develop and implement strategic communications campaigns to advance the Coalition’s priorities and elevate the status of the Delaware River Watershed.
The Coalition’s Communications priorities include:
Leveraging our collective communications assets to create communications campaigns and resources to advance policy priorities, watershed-wide events, and support member organizations
Providing technical assistance, training, and support to help improve and expand the communications capacity of Coalition members
Extending the Coalition’s impact by amplifying member organizations’ work and convening partners toward common agendas and policies
Clean Waters, Strong Communities Toolkit
Clean Waters, Strong Communities is a comprehensive toolkit designed to help nonprofits, community leaders, and educators communicate the importance of safe, reliable drinking water and the role of water utilities in protecting public health.
The resource provides ready-to-use talking points, key messaging, and educational content that can be adapted for different audiences including residents, policymakers, and local organizations. It also includes guidance for digital outreach such as social media posts, newsletters, and email templates, along with visual materials that help make water quality topics more accessible and engaging.
Together, these tools are intended to strengthen public understanding of water systems and encourage informed community engagement and support for water infrastructure investment.
Communications workgroup
CDRW’s Communications workgroup is a fantastic opportunity for member organizations to come together to discuss watershed-related communications topics, collaborate on ideas, and share resources.
