A Watershed for All
A healthy Delaware River Watershed is more than clean water and wildlife—it’s one where all communities have access to natural resources, outdoor spaces, and economic opportunity. To build a truly healthy watershed, we must ensure all voices are included in decisions, and reflect the range of experiences of the region in our Coalition.
Our commitments:
Support members in advancing all voices and lived experiences in our work
Build systems that ensure representative decision-making
Advocate for policies that build a healthier and more resilient watershed
Strengthen partnerships and close gaps in representation
To build a truly healthy watershed, we must prioritize fairness, ensure all voices are included in decisions, and reflect the full range of people and communities who call the watershed home.
What does listening and engaging with all communities mean to the coalition?
The Vision:
A Coalition that reflects, includes, and uplifts the full wide range of identities and perspectives that exist across the Watershed. By bringing together a wide range of voices and ensuring all are heard, we move toward a healthy watershed for everyone.
Action:
We value the full spectrum of interconnected identities, lived experiences, and ways of being as essential strengths within CDRW and throughout the Watershed. We recognize that environmental action must be intentionally designed—because the promise of this country is a commitment of fairness for people.
