Blackwater Branch Tree Planting, Vineland, NJ

dd.jpg

Join the American Littoral Society, the Vineland Environmental Commission, and the AmeriCorps NJ Watershed Ambassador to plant a riparian buffer of 1,100 trees next to Blackwater Branch, a tributary of Maurice River in the Delaware River Watershed. Volunteers are needed.

Riverbanks with native trees, shrubs, and flowers are the most cost-effective restoration projects we can implement in the Delaware River Watershed. Restoring riverbank trees and shrubs, which were cut and removed over the years, is an important step toward improved water cleanliness, more stable riverbanks, and better fish and wildlife habitat for our rivers.

Participants should bring sunscreen and shoes that can get dirty & wet.
