Take a tour of Philadelphia's nationally-recognized green infrastructure projects, led by none other than the Philadelphia Water Department! Attendees will be guided to a variety of stormwater management projects, such as rain gardens and permeable pavement, while learning about the issues that cities around the country face. After this on-the-ground tour, attendees will gather at Fairmount Water Works for a self-guided tour and lunch. With information from the morning, teachers will then hear from some experts about how they design these projects and what kinds of activities they can bring back to the classroom.
