Witness the courageous crossing that saved the American Revolution!

Join the thousands of other history-loving attendees in witnessing one of two annual reenactments of General Washington’s historic 1776 Christmas Day crossing of the Delaware River during the American Revolutionary War. Hundreds of reenactors will participate in the events, starting with a speech by General Washington, followed by the rowing of Durham boats across the Delaware’s icy waters.

This year, the public has two choices of when to attend.

The second, which is the famous Christmas Day crossing, will be a free event.

This event draws thousands every year, and while the actual crossing is around 1PM, it is suggested to arrive early to claim a good viewing location.
