Have Your Opinions about the PennEast Pipeline Heard

A $1.13 billion, 118.8-mile-long natural gas pipeline running between Luzerne County, PA, and Mercer County, NJ, is planned to be completed by late 2018.  The release of an environmental impact statement on July 22 has opened up a 45-day public comment period set to run through Sept. 12.  If you have concerns about the environmental impact of this project, attend one of the following public meetings:

  • Monday, Aug. 15, at the Best Western Lehigh Valley and Conference Center, 300 Gateway Drive in Hanover Township, Northampton County, outside Bethlehem, 610-866-5800.
  • Tuesday, Aug. 16, at the Grand Colonial, 86 Route 173 West, Hampton in Hunterdon County, 908-735-7889.

You can also submit your comments online at www.ferc.gov by using the eComment feature on the website under the link to Documents and Filings.
