PennEast Pipeline Educational Forum

  • Hopewell Township Building 201 Washington Crossing–Pennington Road Titusville, NJ 08560 United States (map)

Two townships and seven environmental organizations are co-hosting two educational forums for community members and landowners regarding the proposed PennEast pipeline.

The co-hosts include Hopewell Township Citizens Against the PennEast Pipeline, Kingwood Citizens Against the Pipeline, New Jersey Conservation Foundation, Friends of Hopewell Valley Open Space, Sourland Conservancy, Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association, Washington Crossing Audubon Society, and Hopewell and Kingwood Townships.

The forums will feature Anne Marie Garti, a lawyer and one of the leaders successfully impeding the development of the interstate Constitution pipeline, in New York.  Garti spoke at the New Jersey Carpenters’ Fund forum last July at the Prallsville Mill, and she has returned to council the PennEast-impacted community on the regulatory timeline and next steps that landowners and community members can take.  Additionally, Garti will discuss how individuals can continue to show commitment to stopping this pipeline and support each other on the long road ahead.

The forum will also include representatives from HALT PennEast – a new legal defense group for homeowners to fight as a group to protect property rights.
