Sen. Carper, Rep. Blunt Rochester, Rep. Fitzpatrick Introduce Bill to Expand Equity in Important Delaware River Conservation Program 

Building off success of the federal spending bill recently signed into law by President Biden — that included a significant increase of $11.5 million in funding for the region — Senator Tom Carper (D-DE), Representative Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-DE), and Representative Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) took another major step forward in protecting the drinking water, state wildlife, and restoration sites across the watershed by introducing the bipartisan Delaware River Basin Conservation Reauthorization Act (DRBCA).

February 14th, The Coalition joined CDRW’s NY State Lead, Friends of the Upper Delaware River (FUDR)   Coalition NY members, and other conservation advocates in Albany to show support and advocate for the $400 million NYS Environmental Protection Fund (EPF). 

Welcome New 2023 Coalition Steering Committee Members! 

This year, the Coalition welcomed four new members to our Steering Committee - Bartram’s Garden, Catskill Center, The Nature Conservancy DE/PA, and WeConservePA! With input from Coalition members, working closely with staff, and utilizing the DEIJ Lens and Screening Tool, the Steering Committee guides the Coalition's strategic goals and work plans, and approves membership and changes to the Steering Committee. 

TTF Watershed Partnership receives Growing Greener Grant to improve stormwater management at Congregation Adath Jeshurun in Elkins Park, Montgomery County

Philadelphia, PA ( January 20, 2023)- Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership, Inc. (TTF) is proud to announce it was awarded a $260,788 2022 Growing Greener grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP) for a stormwater retrofit project at Congregation Adath Jeshurun (AJ) in Elkins Park, Montgomery County. This watershed improvement project is one of ten Growing Greener projects in the Southeast Region that were awarded a total of $2,119,504 to aid in protecting waterways and watersheds.

2022 was quite a year for clean water legislative victories at both the federal and state levels! We are proud to have worked alongside our members and partners for the following wins for clean water and a healthy watershed. While there were many great victories in 2022, our work is never done, and we look forward to our continued united advocacy for clean water, healthy habitat, and equitable access in the Delaware River Watershed.
