Please join Abbott’s Mill Nature Center and Delaware Nature Society in this training event leading up to their annual horseshoe crab survey later in the year!

Every year, Abbott’s Mill Nature Center hosts a series of survey programs during which they count horseshoe crabs and keep track of their spawning numbers and habits. These surveys happen around May-June and require knowledgeable volunteers in order to be successfully run.

Volunteers interested in participating in this training session will learn how to conduct the survey, record data, and distinguish the sex of a horseshoe crab, as well as be able to inquire about future dates.
