Delaware Association for Environmental Education is hosting it’s 10th annual conference, and has announced their theme this year to be, “The World Is Our Classoom”!
DAEE’s biggest benefit to membership and contribution to environmental education in the state is their annual conference. Held every February/March since 2010, this professional development opportunity for classroom and non-formal educators provides participants with current research, pedagogy, environmental education resources and networking.
This year’s keynote speaker will be Cindy Ross, the author of the book The World Is Our Classroom, for which the conference’s theme is taken from.
Four strands have been developed for the 10th Annual Conference to provide a focus for presentations and engage a broad spectrum of participants:
Connecting People with Nature
Environmental Education and Formal Education
Cultivating Environmental Leaders
Innovative and Inclusive Environmental Education
The conference also holds a silent auction, which has it’s profits fund the mini-grants and scholarships offered by DAEE.
