Scenic Wild Delaware River Geotourism Workshop, Blairstown, NJ

"Scenic Wild Delaware River Geotourism Workshop: Preserve, Protect, and Promote our Natural, Historic, and Cultural Assets" will take place at the Historic Blairstown Theater (Roy’s Hall) 30 Main St., Blairstown, NJ 07825 is being hosted by the National Parks Conservation Association. Light breakfast and lunch included. The event will be followed by an optional wine and craft beer tasting by local wineries and breweries.

Presentations by experts in the area of:

  • Keynote: "Surprising Lessons Learned in a Life of Building Geotourism": Balancing multiple community demands for economic development, conservation, preservation, accessibility, green transportation, and bringing delight to places and people for the benefit of both local residents and visitors.
  • Adaptive re-use of canals and railroad beds for walking and biking trails.
  • GIS story mapping.
  • Public Art and Design to address Climate Change and enhance local preservation and Creative Placemaking intervention.
