Join the Watershed Institute in a diversity training session!

As conservationists, managers and environmental professionals, we all work hard to build and preserve accessible and inclusive open spaces that serve everyone. During this full-day training, you will have the opportunity to explore how we can grow in our understanding of issues related to race, class and gender, and to collectively build this foundation and progress toward an inclusive, diverse and equitable environment in open spaces, in our organizations, and throughout our lives. The schedule for the day will feature a combination of presentation, discussion and group activities.

This training is a dynamic, 5-hour session professionally facilitated by Nancy Kohn from Kohn Strategies and Julia Raskin from The New Jersey Conservation Foundation. Kohn Strategies is a strategic planning firm dedicated to working with nonprofits, government agencies, and NGOs to plan and implement strategies rooted in social justice and racial equity. Julia Raskin is The New Jersey Conservation Foundation’s program manager for Camden Parks and Greenways, and an advocate for community equity and environmental justice.
