The 2016 Upper Delaware BioBlitz will take place on Saturday, June 25th on the Ten Mile River Scout Camp at the confluence of Ten Mile River and the Delaware River.
Teams of scientists and amateur naturalists will converge on the site on June 24th to begin their 24 hour survey. The public is invited to meet the scientists, see what they have collected, and participate in programs such as walks and talks led by the scientists (including our popular annual Native Plants Walk with renowned botanist Dr. Ann Rhoads from 9am-12pm) on Saturday, June 25th. This is a fun and interesting event for children of all ages and their families to learn about science, see the collected specimens, talk to the scientists and learn about the species in the context in which they were collected.
Stay tuned for details on timing and registration. More information will be posted on theevent website as details are confirmed.
